The White Elephant Sale is a fantastic opportunity for you to sell your extra/unwanted model railroad, railroadiana, or hobby tool/hardware items. This sale will take place from Thursday afternoon through 5pm Saturday before the banquet. Payment for any purchased items can be made by CASH OR CHECK ONLY. Sorry, the Philadelphia Division does not have the ability to accept credit cards or electronic payments (such as Apple Pay, Zelle, or Venmo). So, bring real money!
HOURS:
Open only to sellers to bring their lots:
Thursday: 3pm -5pm
Open to buyers and sellers:
Thursday: 7pm - 10pm
Friday: 9am–5:30pm, 7:30–10pm
Saturday: 9am–5pm
Please note: The room will closed for dinner breaks on Thursday and Friday.
Settlement: Saturday night starting at 7:30pm and continuing after the banquet.
The rules for this sale are as follows:
- Only registered convention attendees may enter items in the sale.
- All items are sold “AS IS, WHERE IS.” The Philadelphia Division makes NO guarantee as to theoperation, completeness, or salability of any item!
- The MINIMUM price for any lot or item is $5.
- ALL lots/item must be priced in WHOLE Dollars – NO CENTS!
- Each seller is limited to a max of 25 lots so please group your lower priced items.
- Each lot must have a REMOVABLE label containing the seller’s registration number, a lot number [from 1 to max of 25], and the price as shown here:

- Each seller must supply a list identifying their items and price by lot number. See the following links for examples in PDF and Excel. Please retain a copy of the list for your own records
- As each item is sold, the REMOVABLE label will be attached to your list by the sales staff.
- Buyers will remove their items from the room after paying for them.
- The Philadelphia Division will retain 15% of the sales price as its commission.
- At settlement, each seller will receive a list showing the items sold and the amount due them rounded +/- to the nearest dollar, as well as any unsold items.
- Any unsold items not removed by 10pm Saturday, October 18 will become property of the Philadelphia Division.
- Buyers need to bring their own bags or boxes to carry out any purchased items.
