DESCRIPTION: In this presentation we will look at modeling a single town that has enough operational capacity to satisfy our needs for both mainline running and switching. The town of Tuscaloosa Alabama has a class-1 mainline, two yards, a shortline, and lots of interchange traffic in between the two. You can model this action-packed two miles of railroading in a limited space and still have the big-time railroad action you crave. We will look at the trains, industries, and operations of this unique town using hundreds of photos, charts, maps, and track plans. About the Clinician...

Ramon Rhodes has been a railfan and model railroader for well over half a century. He is an accomplished public speaker on railroad-related subjects, an author, and an award-winning modeler. He served on the board of directors for the Santa Fe Railway and Historical Society and is a nationally-known authority on Santa Fe and BNSF operations in the Chicago area.
